[Cullykhan Beach, Aberdeenshire, UK - 2 December 2019]

Cullykhan Water uses a number of recordings taken at Cullykhan Beach in north east Scotland, ranging from tiny drips of rainwater to the crashing sea of the Moray Firth. It was composed as part of a project with artist Bryan Angus and poet Martin Malone, where each artist creates a work of art in their own medium, informed by the same stimulus.

It also forms part of a larger projected album release with Jonty Harrison, consisting of short forms (4 – 6’) made from single field recordings.

Cullykhan Water was composed in Studio Alpha at VICC (Visby International Composers Centre), Sweden.
