COVID-19 Sound Map, sound festival and Stolen Voices shortlisted for Scottish Awards for New Music 2021

Really happy to be part of three short-listings for this year’s Scottish New Music Awards. COVID-19 Sound Map has been shortlisted in the ISM Award for New Music in Covid Times category and sound’s 2020 programme has been shortlisted in the SMIA Award for Creative Programming.

Also great to see the Rebecca Collins and Johanna Linsley’s amazing project Stolen Voices (of which my piece Stolen Voices is a part) has also been shortlisted in the Award for Installation/Sound Art/Electroacoustic New Work category and Lisa Robertson’s Archipelago in the Dorico Award for Small/Medium Scale Work, sponsored by Steinberg category, which sound commissioned as part of its Lockdown Composing project.

Winners will be announced during an online presentation by Tom Service on the New Music Scotland website on Wed 17th June 2021.
